I finished reading “IT” by Alexa Chung in Toronto about two weeks ago and I really loved it over all. Chung really does have “IT” originally from England now New York based, the book has everything from her family life ( she is part Chinese ancestry ), photo’s, doodles, drawings, to what inspires her who she looks up to, how to get dressed in the morning, her personal style, how to really deal with heartbreak, five must have items in your wardrobe, what it feels like to be sitting front row at New York Fashion Week and to be seated next to the amazing Anna Wintour, how to take a proper selfie for instagram, twitter, facebook etc… what beauty looks she loves, music she listens too ( hey and she mentions one direction! ) What being a “Groupie” really means.
The best quote that I have ever read is from this amazing book, and it is about heartbreak.
“The nicest thing I heard during the worst time in my life was this: ‘ you have to suffer heartbreak so you know what to tell your daughter when she has her heart broken.’ I’m Alexa Chung and one day I’m going to have a daughter and I’m going to know what to say to her. I’m going to say: //
‘ Nobody goes through life without having their heart broken and one day you’ll wake up and it will be okay.’
I can’t fucking wait for that day to come. – ALEXA CHUNG ‘IT’
